Tips for fighting in Warzone 2.0
Choose your foundation carefully
One of the biggest changes from Warzone 2.0 is the acquisition of Loadouts. Instead of buying them right away, you can buy your primary with the rest of your gear coming from Strongholds or the gear dropping much later in the game. Since you will have your weapon before the rest of the loadout, consider your choice carefully! An assault rifle like the TAQ-56 is always a good option as you can rely on it in both early and late games.
Strongholds have priority
After landing, Strongholds become active after a few minutes. This is the key to getting your gear fast, but all the squads around will have the same idea! Since they're also defended by AI enemies, it's best to let other squads start attacking and then quickly target them before they can reap the rewards. Other squads can do the same to you, so don't wait too long!
Visit fortresses, even if they are not the first ones
Just because another squad cleared a stronghold doesn't mean you should ignore them completely. While you can't get any of the rarer rewards, you can still earn your loadout by clearing it anyway.
Find the high ground
Al Mazrah is full of tall buildings and mountain peaks, perfect for keeping an eye out for the opposition. You always have an advantage by aiming at your enemies instead of targeting them, so high ground is your best bet. This is especially important late in the game as you have a better chance of catching other teams running into the circle.
Look for third-party dates
If you're lucky enough to already have two squads engaged in a fight, it's almost always worth joining. Despite overwhelming odds, both squads will be too distracted from each other to notice, so you might as well take advantage of this and deal with them all before they get a chance to replace their armor or loot more ammo.
Use your UAVs and drones
If you find UAVs, recon drones or man-portable radars, use them immediately! You can quickly tell if you are being pursued by or approaching an enemy. All three of these tools are powerful items for discovering your enemy's whereabouts, so use them now!
Ask if you can
Notice
If you pick up an enemy and successfully take them out, you can interact with them to interrogate them. This takes time and isn't advisable during combat, but it will also reveal the location of that particular enemy's squad if you do it successfully. It's quite risky, but being confident that you can complete the action can turn uncertain battles in your favor.
Tips for the Gulag in Warzone 2.0
Use your tactics
While your weapon is random in the Gulag, you always spawn with a smoke grenade as your tactical gear. While you also have a deadly grenade, you can use the smoke grenade to block your enemy's line of sight, forcing them to take chances or try to find another angle.
Anyone can leave the Gulag alive
Probably not, but you and your enemies in the gulag can work together and kill the prison guard in the gulag, allowing you all to respawn. This isn't an easy task, but keep it in mind if your opponents aren't keen on killing you.
Couples are separated after the Gulag
If you and your teammate survive the new Gulag-style 2v2 match, you will both respawn, but not near each other; so tryCoordinate landing togetherSo you don't get chosen and waste your second chance!
Tips for looting and exploring in Warzone 2.0
Ping whenever you can
If you're playing with a full squad, ping whenever you can, especially when you find AR ammo or armor plates. As tempting as it is to collect everything you can find, you have a much better chance of winning if your entire squad is fully equipped.
Another way to become a valuable teammate is by dropping items they need when you can spare them. You can always open your backpack and drop cash, ammo, and gear to help your squad. You can also request ammo by pinging the item you need in your backpack.
Zoom in when the map closes
Notice
Al Mazrah is a very large map and it's easy to lose your place on it if you're not careful. As you progress in the game and the circles get smaller and smaller, open your map and zoom in, keeping the circle in the middle. This makes it easier to keep track of your position and to quickly see where to go when you need to open the map quickly.
hold your tone
In addition to calling your teammates, the in-game announcer will announce if your teammates survived the Gulag and, more importantly, if an enemy lands near you. This can be the difference between life and death, especially if you'd rather not use voice chat.
