This version of Witcher 3 is certified with patch 1.31
arrive with himbetter constructionIt was a challenging process. Who can really say which is the best build? Since we all have different definitions of what "the best" is.
It also seems that no matter where you invest your points, you will be overwhelming as you level up and get stronger. So I had to start from scratch and rethink how I approach the game and why I play and enjoy it so much.
The challenge of the fight was the most important factor (Todesmarsch). The adrenaline rush from the tough enemies was by far the best after mastering the basic mechanics and the problem solving and strategy required to take on the tougher enemies. As well as finding and making the best gear possible.
Geralt is a hunter who feeds on predators.
The high investment in the sign industry had to be delisted. It removed the challenge from the game and was limited by mechanics as you can only use one character at a time. Also, characters are difficult to control and switch in combat, sometimes doing more harm than good.
Combat was all the rage because it is The Witcher's fundamental tool and is required regardless of which tree you specialize in. Also, compared to Signs, there is less room for error.
In real life martial arts, efficient use of energy (stamina) is a crucial element of being a good fighter/warrior. So Geralt had to maximize each hit and minimize his efforts to meet that demand. So heCombat building and alchemyit was the perfect way to achieve this.
Not only did he need to hit hard, but he also needed the damage over time buffs from the combat and alchemy trees. To make him the most efficient and effortless fighter who could hit fast, hard and critical (+DoTs). While increasing your survivability and defense through the character tree.
check theconstruction of urinalsif you want something else.
Combat Alchemy-Hybrid-Build
So we start with the battle tree; as it is the foundation that gives you the most advantage and survivability based on your starting strengths and resources. Knowing when and how to dodge, roll, parry, and hit are key elements of the combat system, and you'll need to improve as you level up.
Fast Attack as the main attack
His main attack will be his Fast Attack and hence the initial investments will go in that direction. The reason for this will become more apparent over time, but the high speed of the attacks allows you to land multiple hits and gives you the highest chance of critical hits if properly invested and prepared. Not to mention they are also less likely to be dodged and give you a higher chance of applying your DoTs.
Make sure you get everythingplaces of power, as you need all the skill points you can have for a hybrid build. and read theEasy leveling guideto help you with leveling and rhythm.
Skill order and distribution
This was a frequently asked question and something that needs to be addressed. If you manage to get all 6 power spots in White Orchard plus at least two levels before leaving the area. You have 8 skill points. My process would be: Cat School Techniques from the general tree followed by 3/3 Delusion & 3/3 Exploding Shield from the Sign Tree. The CST damage and Axii's Quickcast and Quen's Defensive Kick are enough to give me an additional early game advantage, assuming I'm well-equipped. However, it can be different and that's why I recommended the other skills besides these three.
Once it is completed, any additional skill points earned will be placed in the battle tree. Until you've maxed out all the majors and reached the last level of the tree. Starting with Muscle Memory, Precision Blow, and utility skills like Resolve and Undying. Whirl/Rend will also be a possible option, I prefer Rend just because it allows me a higher level of control in combat. You could go for both.
Once those basics are unlocked, and more importantly, you'll have gained more confidence in the basics of combat. Then start distributing the remaining points in Alchemy and Sign Tree. Poisoned Blades aside, Alchemy only reveals its power at level 3, making it the ultimate investment tree. Before delving into the Alchemy tree, it's recommended that you put a few more skill points into the Character tree, simply because of the higher passive resistance regeneration it offers.
general skills
Cat School Techniques
(1/1) One point grants 125% increased Critical Strike Damage and 25% increased Fast Attack Damage. Probably the best investment you will make in the entire game.
survival instinct
Increases the player's health by 500 early on, allowing them to take a few more hits, and that's important in Death March. However, on the other difficulties it is optional and you can even do without it in DM if you feel safe.
Approach
(1/1) Focus gives you a 15-20% increase in DPS, which is great since it only requires one skill point. Although in the previous levels it has very little impact and you will find other more useful skills. Also, it requires all the adrenaline to function and you haven't yet developed your adrenaline-boosting skills such as:Resolver.
Adrenaline burst
This can also be useful as 1 point increases your adrenaline gain. Signs can now also give you an adrenaline rush and diversify your earnings.
drawing skills
explosive shield
(3/3) Quen's shield knocks back enemies when it breaks. Good tactical skills for combat based builds.
cheated
(3/3) For his dialogue buffs and Axii Instant Cast. After Quen, this will probably be your most used ability.
active shield
Creates an active shield that absorbs and restores vitality based on damage. These are the training wheels of signing school and you don't need them as you improve.
melt armor
Permanently weakens enemy armor based on the strength of your signal. Maximize at 75% signal intensity. This can be a very useful skill to have in your toolkit. Also, Igni is your third most used sign and is often a great way to make room with larger enemies and navigate crowded situations.
USE:Assigning three mark abilities can potentially increase your mark intensity by 60% + 8 skill points, the mark tree gives you a 5.5/s increase in stamina regeneration. Feel free to invest more into the tree if you have points to spare as you will increase stamina regeneration. What you need for your Quen, Axii, Igni, and Rend executions. However, keep in mind that your ROI drops dramatically after the second set of skills.
combat skills
muscle memory
(5/5) Increases fast attack damage by 25%. So that's a 50% increase in damage from fast attacks(techniques of the cat school)+5 % Adrenalinzuwachs.
weight training
(5/5) Strong attack equals muscle memory, increases damage from strong attacks by 25% + 5% adrenaline gain. It's great to invest in them if you have points left over to spend later as you'd make better use of your strong attacks.
Resolver
(5/5) At max level, no adrenaline is lost on hit, 100% reduction. Good investment as you need all the adrenaline you can get.
precision shot
(5/5) Increases fast attack critical hit chance by 10% and critical hit damage by 75%.
crushing blow
(5/5) Increases heavy attack critical hit chance by 10% and critical hit damage by 75%.
Eternal
Saves players' lives when health reaches 0 by using current adrenaline points to restore a certain percentage of their health. Basically you can roll over the point with DM training wheels if you feel confident and need a higher level of challenge.
fleet of feet
Allows the player to negate 100% (maximum) potential damage while dodging. This and Undying make Death March a lot less punishing. Reinvest when you feel safe.
tear
(5/5) A single target attack that ignores enemy armor and increases critical hit chance by 50%. You can always invest in both if you have points left. Whirl, his alternative is too easy and removes the challenge. Also, landing a Rend Strike at the right time is much more satisfying and adds to the complexity of the fight.
crippling blow
(5/5) Inflicts a bleed (damage over time effect) that reduces the enemy's health on fast attacks by 125 points per second for 5 seconds. His third most important DoT. Optional as it loses its effect at higher levels.
deadly precision
(2/2) With full adrenaline, the player has a 6% chance to instantly kill their enemy. As OP as it gets and why you need those adrenaline points.
Razor focus
Immediately gives you 1 adrenaline and increases the adrenaline gain from your sword strikes by 25% (when maxed out). It's great to have, but you can do without it too.
Stun Shot
Disables the enemy's special ability for 25 seconds when scoring a critical hit with the crossbow. It requires investment in skills such asanatomical knowledgefor maximum benefit. It's always good to have a ranged secondary weapon available.
NOTE: Abilities such asdeadly precision,Razor focusjStun ShotThey're more of a luxury and you'll be fine without them. Feel free to invest these skills in the other trees.
Alchemy Skills
poisoned blades
(5/5) Oil applied to blades grants a 15% chance to poison the target with each hit. The higher the quantity of oil used, the higher the probability. His other DoT. It's best to save a slot until you have higher quality oils.
acquired tolerance
(3/3) Increases maximum toxicity by 1 for each level 1, 2, and 3 alchemy formula known to the player. You need more than 5 points to advance to the next level of the tree, and this ability is great when you find that you too often push the limits of your toxicity.
rage
If the potion's toxicity is higher than 0, time will automatically slow down when an enemy plans a counterattack. A good alternative toacquired toleranceif you need extra help with counterattacks. I found this very useful.
protective layer
(5/5) Increases protection against monster types by 25% based on oils applied. It's more of a skill you invest in because you have to, but it can be very useful.
sparkling water
(5/5) Makes your non-vital potions and decoctions give you vitality. Again, this is more of a skill that you invest in because you have to, but it can be very useful and save you from using your Swallow.
Synergy
(5/5) Increases Mutagen placement bonus by 50%. This is the most important ability in the alchemy tree and a no-brainer, the stat boost is unprecedented.
Hair spray
(3/3) Blade oils do not wear out. And his oiled blades have a 15% poison chance and give him 25% protection against monster types, it's pretty useful and the second most important DoT.
hunter instinct
(5/5) At max Adrenaline, critical hit damage against enemies is increased by 100% based on oil application. Superior as it goes.
Butcher
(5/5) If the potion's toxicity is greater than 0, each enemy killed increases the chance of a critical hit by 50%. This in combination withhunter instinctbecome a demigod.
NOTE: With 38 points invested in the alchemy tree, the potion duration should increase by 190%.delayed recoveryIt's not recommended here because it takes the fun out of the game, requires too much micromanagement, and makes Geralt seem unsettling.
the best armor
The best armor isCat Feline School Gear. It's the best armor in the game considering that it improves stamina regeneration, adrenaline point generation and offers immense attack power increases. Yes, you take more damage when you get hit. But shouldn't you be hit at all? Mastering the basics of dodging, rolling and parrying + the Quen app means your strengths outweigh your only weakness. For the first levels theTemeria's armorIt's your armor. It's expensive, so learn how to make money.
the best weapons
Many would say that the Bear's (Ursane) weapons are the best in the game. But for this build, I disagree. With this build you already get a huge increase in attack power and damage from critical hits, so it's best to go with the original.Cat School cat swordssince they give you an increased chance of poisoning your enemy. Essentially your main DoT. Give a total of three.
In the early game, you can have the same advantages as yoursViper school weapon set. This gives you a 15% and 10% chance to poison on hit. Between these two weapon sets, use whatever you can get your hands on. I recommended the Griffin sets to keep the 25% experience gain bonus.
The best runes, glyphs and runes
In terms of weapon runes, the best ones are Immobilizers, including Stribog Runestone (% Chance to Stagger), Triglav Runestone (% Chance to Stun), and Zoria Runestone (% Chance to Freeze). ). And when it comes to armor glyphs, there are three that stand out. The Glyph of Igni & Quen + the Glyph of Mending. Although it seems to be something of a personal preference.
Rune rights are another consideration. The only one applied to this build was the Separation weapon enchantment. Although there are some other interesting ones like Invigoration and Levity. But it doesn't really fit if you're looking for maximum potential. If you're considering using Severance, put it on a secondary sword as well. Given the cost and loss of slots, I choose to keep my regular weapon runes, although I invest the gold initially.
The best potions, decoctions and bombs
You don't have to make it more complicated than it really is. You have two potions that you use for healing and a handful of utility potions and decoctions to aid in combat and exploration, and your oils should be at the highest possible level.
Potions:
Orca:Duplicates underwater breathing and facilitates vision.
Drowned Pheromones:The drowning will not attack you. Ideal for underwater exploration and plundering.
Beam:Increases attack power.
Waldkauz:Increases endurance regeneration.
Swallow:Your main will eventually heal.
White Raffard decoction:Your other instant healing potion.
blizzard:Slows down time after Geralt kills something. A fun potion to experiment with and extremely useful when overwhelmed or cornered.
Decoctions:
Devilish:Increase the weight limit for those with a sweet tooth and those who are lazy.
Water tap:Taking damage increases this type's damage resistance. This benefitprotective layercan be very useful against tougher/higher level enemies
Tell:Increases critical hit chance.
Troll:Regenerates vitality in and out of combat.
Pumps:
Scrapnell:Deals shrapnel damage to enemies within its blast radius. (350 physical damage, +350 silver damage and +5 fire damage)
Prom-Star:Creates a fiery explosion that can set nearby enemies on fire. (Effect duration 4s and +100 fire damage)
Devil's Puffball:Releases a poison cloud on detonation. (10s effect duration and +100 potion damage)
north wind:Freeze enemies. (effect duration 4s)
dragon dream:Releases a cloud of gas that explodes when ignited. (15s effect duration and +300 fire damage)
game guide
General battle building tactics
- Combat Cycle: Side Step/Dodge/Parry, then Fast Attack (depending on Freeze, Stun and Stun effects) and ends (or starts) with Heavy Attacks (Rend)
- Your explosive shield creates the necessary space when hit.
- Create space through defensive tactics and be an opportunistic striker, attacking from behind and from the side with the toughest enemies.
- When fighting in large groups, focus on one until the DoTs are applied, then move on to the next as needed. The DoT damage is high enough on top of your normal attacks that they fall quickly
- Advanced - The Dancing Serpent- Circle your enemies with the side step, combine it with quick attacks from the sides and from behind. Very few will resist your bite. It is best used in one-on-one situations against heavy enemies.
Complete
It's important to note that being good at the game isn't just about your build. How effective you are as a warlock will depend equally on how well you understand the basics and how well prepared you are. In addition to its actual construction (which changes according to needs and circumstances).
Have fun now!
